A year ago we introduced you to non-binary artist Madge with post-pop single ‘Alice’ and now the inivative musician is back with new work ‘Ethanol’. Madge takes chaos and her originality into a new realm where murky beats, industrial pop and robotic melodies collide, forming new previously unheard motions. Mixed and Mastered by Chance Lewis, Madge created ‘Ethanol’ with Lcx Stacy who brought in that essential grit and grime to the artist’s unique vision. The fuel behind this sharp, shattered and puzzled track is "Inherited trauma as compulsive self-destruction. For every garbage fire I put out in my brain, I find myself dumping gasoline on another. I find myself wondering if I just accept this state of things,” shares Madge. This artist continues to push the fold of expected genres, taking pop into a dystopian, futuristic space. - Hannah Thacker
